To kick off the summer Jake's parents drove up to Halifax to see where we live and to view beautiful Nova Scotia. We packed up and drove all the way back with them and had one fun adventure. We stopped at Niagara Falls, Kirkland Ohio's church and temple sites, Passed by Elder Jo Brown's city where he serves, and Mt. Rushmore. It was a fun vacation and we are grateful to Jake's parents for the wonderful trip they gave us. 3,600 MILES LATER WE ARE FINALLY HOME!

This past week we all have been sick. Jace has a cough & runny nose. I've had a sore throat and minor cough and Melese has had Laryngitis for almost a week with a sore throat and cough, aahhhhhhhh!!! With Melese's Laryngitis she lost her voice and poor Jace has to wait for me to come home so he can actually talk to somebody. When you are sick you realize how much you take for granted. Because of our boredom we needed a laugh so Melese and I decided to take advantage of Jaces Bath. We laughed at every new hairdo we gave Jace and I guess it is a good idea that we haven't chopped off his hair yet. So now that we are finally at the end of our sicknesses (crossing our fingers) it is good to know that we can still have some fun even when we are miserable.

TIME TO BBQ
With the weather being so nice up here we decided to have our first BBQ of the year. It wasn't a hard choice deciding what to cook up first because we are big fans of Kabobs. It was really good and the best part was the great warm weather that we have missed so much. It was so good that I think some more BBQing is in order very soon!

Kabob Marinade for steak or chicken:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp. lemon pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
mix in 1 gallon baggy add meat and place in fridge for as long as you like, the longer the better.

Jake's new apron that says "butter me up." We found it fitting having a lobster on it since we are in the land of good lobster eating.
Our special occasion called for our special bubbly, grape sparkling cider!
Wow, this is sooooo good!

SPRINGBREAK IN UTAH
These past few weeks have been very eventful. Jake spent a week in Utah with us and then returned to study for midterms while Melese and Jace stayed behind for a few more weeks of fun. here are some pictures of some fun things we did.

The jeeping crew. Grandpa Todd took us to St. George for some good old jeeping fun. Jake loves jeeping and I think this is why he had to go to Utah.
