Art 101

What once was a long art project with a light and a marker did not seem exciting but we really wanted to trace our kids silhouettes. Thanks to technology we did this all digitally with our computer. the only hard part was taking the side view photos of our kids.

so cool! How did you do that? Seems much easier than doing it by hand.

Ya totally how did you do this. I'd love to do this as wall art for the kids toy room.

I did one for Elle and still need to do Lily's. I agree that the hardest part is getting the picture! I will tell you girls the way I did it and that's with Photoshop. You just select the outline of their face with the polygonal lasso tool, then just color inside the selection with black, then select inverse and color that white. I was actually thinking of doing those as a side business if anyone's interested in one, let me know.

Thanks for the comment on my blog Melese! You are very sweet! I'd love to do photos for you guys next summer! celebration of you guys coming back to Utah and being a Dental family! :)
Please give Charlie many hugs from his aunt Jaci. I am devastated that I can't meet him for a LONG time. :( I'm glad he is surrounded by good friends in the place of our family though! :) I bet my mom and dad are loving their visit there as well!
Thanks again! Jaci
