ALMOST ONE YEAR DOWN

We can't believe our first year is almost over. Only three to go. Good luck with finals Daddy!

TIME TO BBQ

With the weather being so nice up here we decided to have our first BBQ of the year. It wasn't a hard choice deciding what to cook up first because we are big fans of Kabobs. It was really good and the best part was the great warm weather that we have missed so much. It was so good that I think some more BBQing is in order very soon!

Kabob Marinade for steak or chicken:
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/4 cup olive oil
1 tsp. lemon pepper
1 tsp. garlic powder
mix in 1 gallon baggy add meat and place in fridge for as long as you like, the longer the better.

Jake's new apron that says "butter me up." We found it fitting having a lobster on it since we are in the land of good lobster eating.

Our special occasion called for our special bubbly, grape sparkling cider!

Wow, this is sooooo good!

SPRINGBREAK IN UTAH

These past few weeks have been very eventful. Jake spent a week in Utah with us and then returned to study for midterms while Melese and Jace stayed behind for a few more weeks of fun. here are some pictures of some fun things we did.

Lunch at the Mayan restaurant with the fun divers.

Cousins forever! Jace and Ky-man

The blessed mountains in cache valley

More mountains. The Wellsvilles

Riding on the sled behind the Brown's good neighbor and friend Pat.

Elder Brown and the Sorensens

Jordan, you will be missed but blessed! There are not many uncles as good and fun as you.

Jake and Matt (Jake's brother) riding his new bikes. Some day he may have his own.

"I love my uncle Jo"

The jeeping crew. Grandpa Todd took us to St. George for some good old jeeping fun. Jake loves jeeping and I think this is why he had to go to Utah.

The hotel in St. George with our new lobster pjs from uncle Dirk.

Ed Fisher showing us how it is done. Good job Ed!

Jake climbing some slippery rocks.

The family in beautiful St. George. The weather stayed in the 70's every day.

Jace inspecting the jeep.

The long and tiring plane flight. If you know Jaces obsession with airplanes you would know that he loved every minute.

WE ARE STILL ALIVE

We know it has been a long time and we hope some  people still check our blog.  Melese, Jace, and I flew home for my break and Melese and Jace stayed for Jordan Browns farewell (Melese's brother).  Good luck Jo in Cleveland, Ohio!  I am just sitting here watching another American Idol by myself and wondering when I should start studying.  It really bites with Melese and Jace gone but thanks to great neighbors and friends I am still alive and fed well.  Melese will blog more about our trip to Utah when she returns but we had a blast being home and I feel bad I didn't get to see all my friends because I was there for such a short time but we will have all summer.
